Cars - Too Bad They`re A Necessity!
By Doc Phillips

Intensive Driving Course
If I had to learn how to drive again I wouldn`t take weekly lessons. Don`t get me wrong, my instructor was brilliant and he got me through my test at the first time of asking but the whole process took about 6 months in total. I was ready for the practical test after 8 lessons but a backlog of test dates meant that I had to wait ages for the big day to come around. In the end I started having lessons every fortnight because it would have been a complete waste of money taking them every single week. In hindsight I should have booked myself onto an Intensive Driving Course. This way, I could have been at test standard in just a week and I would have passed my test far sooner. Pupils can expect a high level of instruction on an Intensive Driving Course and because of the amount of driving that is involved, they`ll soon broaden theiir driving skills. I shouldn`t moan really because 6 months isn`t a great deal of time in the grand scale of things. Still, had I booked on an Intensive Driving Course I could have passed my driving test a week after my 17th birthday.

British Supercars
We Brits have had a proud motor industry for many years and over the years we have created a number of British Supercars that took the world by storm. Think of the E-type Jaguar and the high levels of interest that it created when it was unveiled at the Geneva motor show for the very first time. It had jaw-dropping looks that made ladies swoon and gents dribble at the mouth. This beautiful beast was stuNing to look at and was half the price of an Aston Martin DB4. It`s no wonder the waiting list was so long with celebrities queuing up to buy one. Mention British Supercars and you can`t help but think of the mighty marque that we know and love as Aston Martin. In the 1960s they produced beautiful looking vehicles with models like the DB5 benefiting from the most captivating coachwork. Today Aston is busier than ever producing British Supercars and the latest DBS is quite something to behold. So much so that none other than 007 has given one his seal of approval. The UK can still be proud of the motors that it makes and we are lucky enough to still produce some amazing supercars that prove to be highly desirable collector`s items.
